Ashley Rodgers started writing The Family Curse--one third of which would one day become Snakes in the Rose Garden--in seventh grade. As she got older, the book grew inside her imagination, but it wasn’t until her sophomore year at Beauregard High that she realized the story must be broken into three separate books: Snakes in the Rose Garden, Green Tornados, and a third that has yet to be named. These books are The Twelfth Hour, and they are about the blurred lines of good and evil and the cruelty of fate. Time and Destiny are the adversaries in Snakes in the Rose Garden as it once seemed to be for Ashley
